Our Local Union
The Near North Teachers’ Local (NNTL) is one of 76 Elementary Teachers’ Federation of Ontario (ETFO) locals. We are represented by hundreds members who are employed as teachers with the Near North District School Board. Our members service over 30 elementary schools with over 8000 students.
Geographically, we are one of the largest school boards in Ontario which includes the entire Parry Sound District, a northern portion of the Muskoka District (Mactier), and the central portion of the Nipissing District (West Nipissing, North Bay, East Ferris and Mattawa) .
